How old is the team?  Sometimes we feel like old men and women after long tournaments, but the team itself was founded in 1998.  By our math, that means we're in our 14th year.

Whose fault is it?  In an article written for the Gettysburgian, Gettysburg College's school newspaper, two of the team's founders, Andy Stephenson and Ryan Adams, confess:

...[T]he start of ultimate as a club sport is very similar to the start of the frisbee. On April 4th 1682, a Puritan in New England threw a pie pan at his child for not getting his Bible verses correct. The child, Sean Fleming, realized that this could be turned into something special and the destined pie pan became the infamous frisbee. Similarly, on April 2nd 1998, concussion struck again when a frisbee was thrown, hitting Andy Stephenson. From his deluded trance that followed, Andy decided to form an ultimate team.

Is there a place where I can hang out with these awesome people off the fields?  Why, yes, there is! The Pan Fried Funk has its own Theme House at Gettysburg College, called "The Funk House: Mind, Body and Spirit." Currently located in Albaugh House, about 18 members of the team live there each year. The house is a place for PFF to gather and hang out as one big Funk family.
